I have been a full time Realtor for the past 21 years since I graduated from San Diego State University. My major was in real estate with an emphasis in finance. I chose real estate as my career because I love helping people during one of the most stressful times of their lives during the process of buying or selling a home. I feel it is important to fully inform the client(s) of all their options and then help them decide what is best for them. I also really enjoy negotiating the deal for the buyer(s)/seller(s) and pride myself on always getting the best deals for my clients in this fast paced industry.
During those 21 years I have had the opportunity to manage a growing real estate office of 75+ agents for 21/2 years, teach numerous classes to fellow real estate agents in our industry, and have always been a top producing agent for the past 18 years! Please feel free to call me and we can talk about how I can help you with your specific real estate needs.

A California native, Richard grew up in the city of Downey outside of Los Angeles. He is a son of a blue-collar family. His father was an armored car driver, and his mother was a bookkeeper for Sears. At an early age, Richard loved to move the furniture in his room around about every six months to have a different feeling. To the disliking of his parents, he went as far as moving the furniture around in the house to give it a different flow. Richard graduated from Warren High School where he was an active swimmer and water polo player.
After completing his general education at Cerritos College, Richard transferred to Sonoma State University where he studied Theater Arts. He tried acting and directing until finally finding his place behind the scenes with stage management and lighting design. He would go on to design lights at local high schools, manage plays and musicals at local community theaters, and at Santa Rosa Junior College’s Summer Repertory Theater. In 1991, Richard moved back home and received a degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in stage management and lighting design from California State University, Fullerton.
While managing shows around Los Angeles, he began working for the YMCA as an Aquatics Coordinator. Richard found a great appreciation working with youth, teens, and families. For most of his 20 years at the Y, he worked closely with colleagues and community members developing leadership-building teen and camp programs.
Richard has many passions in life that includes traveling (20 countries and counting), cooking and baking, learning about good wine, beer, and spirits, snow skiing, live music, theater (he’s learned to enjoy the show and not seek out its’ flaws), and watching endless hours of HGTV.
